WAGS truly is an amazing organization that takes care of their animals no matter what comes in their way. Rain, shelter illnesses, you name it. I have been volunteering since February 2025 and just adopted a dog from WAGS. All the staff and managers are very friendly and supportive! I highly recommend volunteering and/or adopting from here!
Please do your research on this place. I was looking for a dog to fit my lifestyle and found a french bulldog. Right off the bat something was wrong. The worker that was there to answer some questions for me didn't know what dog I had with me or the age ( I was told first 6 months then 6 years while online it said 4 years old). I was also first quoted $200 for the dog. When I didn't make a decision right away I was told to leave the room since "another family was going to see" the dog. Even though it was only 15 minutes before closing. Then when I wanted to go and adopted the dog I came back 4 days later and was quoted $600. Since a french bulldog is "expensive and we want to be sure that the dog is going to a family that is financially able to afford her". After I left I was texted and quoted $205 for the French bulldog. It was a whirlwind. I felt like no one knew what they were saying as I kept getting incorrect information right after another.
A shelter that really cares about the pets in their care. They have lots of pets that is need of a forever home. the organization does their best to train and take care, and provide as much information about the pets as much as possible to better increase the chances of the dogs being adopted. a great shelter to find your next furry best friend!

You guys were great! 👍 Even though I wasn't able to adopt the little sick stray from your location because she was "gone" for the day, I did find these two beautiful felines in Upland yesterday. They are beautiful! Maybe I can support your organization some other time. Once again, thanks for helping me find new playmates for my cat. Hoping to introduce them to eachother soon. 😻 ❤️ 😍
Nice place and helpful staff. Very clean professional and organized. Its very calm warm and welcoming. I mean this as in, I've been to the ones that are cold and dark feeling. Im still not happy westminster police officer wrongfully took my service dog and put him in the shelter nearly 20 hours after he released me from jail where I was wrongly held due to a civil tennant matter that was proven to be a lie by the owner.
