Update: I've been back several times since my original post. I added more pictures of a delectable Mexican Caesar salad (hold the tortilla strips, cheese, light beans, add steak, extra pepitas) Maria was our server, very bright and attentive, fun! Shout out to Maria, Maria (we broke into Carlos Santana). My son loves the piping hot, scratch-made churros with chocolate sauce. This restaurant is consistently great! Original review: Great Happy Hour... my son ordered a large Sonora hotdog, smothered with all sorts of unrecognizable things, looked good. I ordered a Mexican Ceasar Salad, and it was nice and chilled- generous portion. So far, among the best Happy Hour locations in OC. Shout out to the manager who took good care of us.
Marco did a good job attending our table with a smile and was respectful The posole was pretty good and the salsa they had for it was very spicy. I liked it. The Chilaquiles were also pretty good But the service there and the atmosphere made the meal a lot better
Plenty of parking, authentic Mexican food, their chips and salsa to start were super fresh. Not super spicy which was great. I got their lunch special: one soft and one crunchy beef taco, came with rice and beans. Their classic margarita on the rocks was fresh, not super sweet or bitter, plus it wasn’t cheap tequila. I’ll definitely comeback and more items .

I’ve been coming to this location my entire life, and it has never disappointed—if anything, it just keeps getting better. From the moment you sit down, you’re welcomed with warm, freshly made chips and the most incredible salsa and guacamole. They set the bar high right from the start. The food is consistently excellent, and the flavors are unmatched. The 3-item combo is legendary and my go-to every time. Nothing beats their cheesy enchiladas, perfectly crispy chimichangas, and classic hard-shell tacos—they are pure comfort food done right. Every bite tastes like tradition, quality, and care. Rodrigo’s isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a staple, a tradition, and a place that feels like home. My friend and i had a wonderful dinner at Rodrigo's Mexican Restaurant in Huntington Beach. Our Server, Edgar, was exceptional. I haven't had a server that good ever. We also want to commend Victor, the manager. He and his team made the eating experience one to remember.
