First off, this is a motel, not a hotel. Yeah, if you're looking for a marriott or a sheritan, this is not the place. And as far as hotels go, it is extraordinary. The staff is courteous and the rooms are clean. The main things I really enjoy about a stay, Are having a comfortable bed and a great shower. ( I mentioned this to the staff and they indicated they just recently remodeled the rooms). The continental breakfast is also very good and the scrambled eggs are actually real, not some powdered nonsense! And as they say: location, location, location! There is an elevator, so it is easy to get to the upper floors. ( I never love having a drag my luggage upstairs.) If you can request a room towards the backside of the property, it keeps you away from any traffic Noise. But to be fair, westminster avenue is not particularly busy at night. Beaches are only about ten minutes away. Lots of shopping for necessities and good food nearby. We would definitely stay here again!
Everything was acceptable for a short stay. However, there is no elevator, so keep that in mind if you are staying on the second or third floor. The hot breakfast was very simple, with only scrambled eggs and sausages. Overall, it is still worth the money for the price.
Avoid this place at all costs! We booked two rooms on March 27, and it was a nightmare from the start. • Infestation: Both the original and the "upgraded" rooms were infested with bed bugs. We found them crawling on the sheets in both rooms. • Atmosphere: The hallways were loud and crowded with construction workers eating and shouting, which the hotel dismissed as "normal." • Refund Fraud: After we refused to stay in a bug-infested room at 9 PM, the hotel promised a full refund. It is now April 19, and I have yet to receive a dime. Booking.com confirmed the hotel is withholding the funds and asked me to intervene personally. This is unacceptable and unhygienic. I am officially reporting this establishment to the Health Department for sanitary violations. Do not stay here unless you want to bring bed bugs to home.
The best part of this hotel is the location. Very close to Disneyland. Other than that, I would not stay at this hotel again. The room was spacious for my family of five, however we saw two silver fish bugs and the bathroom tub metal fixtures were stained and gross. The walls are not very thick and you can hear every door door close and noises in neighbor rooms. The breakfast was mediocre and not a lot of room to sit in and eat. Its more of a hotel to grab breakfast and go. I would not recommend staying here if you care about comfort and cleanliness.
The hotel was nice enough, but I expected a bit more for the price. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was decent, but the room needed some updating. Overall, it was an okay stay, just not quite what I hoped for.
