Stumbled upon this museum shopping nearby, but was warmly welcomed by informative and hospitable volunteers. Unique collection of South Vietnamese military history worth a visit from anyone interested. Be advised, the downstairs location appears to be closed but the upstairs one is open. Recommend calling ahead to ensure opening hours since staff is purely on a volunteer basis.
Not the biggest museum, but filled with lots of items on display. There are a lot of old uniforms and artifacts from the Republic of Vietnam. The staff of volunteers is very knowledgeable and friendly. They were genuinely happy we visited and took time to make us feel welcome. It is a little easy to miss as it is on the second floor, but it is very worth a visit.
Visiting from out of state saw a building downstairs but it was closed they moved upstairs no problem. Walked up the staircase and entered into the museum and got greeted by Chris and Lin both very helpful on sharing info on pieces of art and everything else in the museum will have to visit again.
I love seeing history preserved and articles posted from back then. I recommend calling the museum before arriving; not sure what their hours are. I came a few times and the museum wasn’t open.
Parking lot is a nightmare. I get to museum and it's locked it says go downstairs and ask someone at another business to unlock it. I did and he was nice but clueless and he called someone they didn't or wouldn't come. Total waste of time. I won't be back. I wanted to support the museum because my dad fought in Vietnam War and died prematurely due to illness contracted from his service but I guess not.
