My first visit to Los Angeles International Airport was a positive experience overall. The airport is modern, clean, and well organized, with plenty of seating areas available. The staff were very polite and the overall service was smooth and efficient. Public announcements and communication were clear and easy to understand. The airport can get busy at times, but it did not feel overly crowded or difficult to move through. On the downside, some of the power outlets were not working, which was inconvenient during waiting time. Overall, it was a simple and pleasant experience, and I would recommend it.

Visited Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), and overall it’s a busy but manageable airport. The airport is large and can feel a bit chaotic, especially during peak hours. Traffic around the terminals is often heavy, so it’s a good idea to arrive earlier than expected. Inside, the facilities vary depending on the terminal. Some areas are modern and well-maintained, while others feel a bit older. Still, there are plenty of restaurants, cafes, and shops to pass the time. Security lines can be long, but the process is generally efficient. Staff are used to handling large volumes of travelers, so things move steadily. One of the biggest pros is the connectivity. LAX offers a huge number of domestic and international flights, making it a major gateway to and from the U.S. Overall, it’s not the most luxurious airport, but it gets the job done. When my husband and I landed at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), I was honestly fascinated. There were so many different airlines I had never seen before — carriers from all over the world. It truly showcases how international and high-traffic this airport is. That being said, as someone who has experience working at a CAT X airport, I can confidently say this is one of the more confusing airports I’ve ever navigated. The signage throughout the airport is very unclear, which only adds to the stress — especially if you’re unfamiliar with the layout. When we initially landed at LAX, the line for the bus to the terminal was extremely long and wrapped around. You have to take this bus in order to get to the rideshare area, which adds another step after a long flight. It was a lengthy and exhausting process just to exit the airport. When we arrived to the airport for our returning flight, I had tried to request a wheelchair due to an injury I got earlier on our trip, as it was quite a long trek between areas. Unfortunately, the person at the information desk told me they are very hard to get and simply wished me luck. Given how large and spread out LAX is, that was incredibly disappointing. After that, we went through TSA security, and started heading toward our gate — only to find out we needed to wait in a long line for a bus that would take us to the actual terminal area. After getting there, then we could proceed to our gate. The unexpected added time was stressful, and we almost missed our flight because of it. The biggest takeaway: arrive with plenty of extra time. Between unclear signage, long walks, extremely long bus lines, and additional transportation steps just to reach rideshare or certain terminals, delays can add up quickly. LAX is impressive in terms of its global airline presence, but it’s definitely an airport where extra planning — especially if you have mobility concerns — is absolutely essential.

What amazed me most was how quickly I got through immigration. This was LAX, one of the busiest international airports in the United States, yet I was outside the terminal in about five minutes. Years ago, that would have been hard to imagine. After completing my 100-country journey, it was a surprisingly memorable way to arrive home. Most of all, I was simply happy to be back home. My first trip back to China started from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), and overall the experience was very smooth and positive. I flew with United Airlines, taking a direct international flight to Hong Kong. From check-in to boarding, the process was more efficient than I expected, especially for such a busy international airport. One of the best parts of my experience was how fast the security and TSA process went. Even though LAX is known for heavy passenger traffic, the line moved quickly, and the staff were organized and professional. I did not feel stressed or rushed, which made the beginning of my long journey much more comfortable. The United Airlines terminal was also clean and well-maintained. There were enough seating areas, charging spots, and clear signs to guide passengers to the correct gates. Boarding was well-managed, and everything was announced clearly. Another thing I appreciated was the direct flight option from Los Angeles to Hong Kong. It saved a lot of time and made international travel much easier without unnecessary layovers. The overall boarding process was orderly, and staff were helpful when answering questions. Although LAX can be crowded at times, my personal experience on this trip was very efficient and smooth. It left a good impression on me as the starting point of my return journey to China.
