I am a very picky person when it comes to choosing hotels, especially nowadays because everything is so expensive and not always worth it. This time I chose Hotel 39 after reading the reviews. The reviews were okay, and the location is great — close to all the Asian food, shopping, and very convenient. When I arrived, the outside of the building didn’t look very bright or fancy, so I wasn’t sure at first. But when I checked in, the customer service was very good. The room was big and very clean, fresh and comfortable. I was very satisfied with this hotel. Some people might think this hotel looks old from the outside, but inside is very clean and well kept. I recommend this place and I would definitely come back again whenever I travel to this area. Thank you!
We requested an early check in and they were able to accommodate. Room was clean, sheets were clean and no unusual smells. Appreciated the microwave and refrigerator but no coffee maker but Starbucks and McDonald’s are close by. Location is ideal for shopping and a SF market is within 5 minute walk. Banh Mi sandwich shop is next to SF and vegetation restaurant is excellent. 10 minutes from Asian Garden. And free internet if you don’t have good cellular. You’ll need to. Ring your own device chargers. The AC isn’t too noisy and has a constant in fan.
Extremely disappointed. Not only did they want the charge of the room but they wanted 110 PLUS 150 FOR A DEPOSIT. the deposit was more than the room itself. Did not come here if you want to pay extra for less. Shame
I chose this hotel because of room cleanliness reviews due to recent modeling at a very fair price, and especially booking via hotels.com (earned 8% for American Express Rewards Points too). It's walking distance to a Vietnamese Shopping Center so I was allowed to leave my carry on after checked-out time for more shopping and dining. I accidentally left my extended Dell monitor under the bed cover without realizing it. It was returned to me when I picked up my carry on later in the afternoon - lucky me, huh? The only thing I didn't like was no USB or USB-C charger, I could charge from the TV but it took forever.
The room is clean, the property is well-managed. The front desk is very friendly. But the location isn't great. It's good value for the money!
