Dr.Nguyen and his staff are very friendly and make sure I get the right frame and lens types for my active usage at a fair price. Will definitely come a 3rd time for my next prescription

He was fine until I requested my medical records which I’m entitled to under the law and he got weird telling me to get them from my ophthalmologist. My ophthalmologist doesn’t track or measure the same things so if I want to track my vision measurements over time or if my cornea is changing or even if I’m switching optometrists, for example, I need this optometrist’s records. I still don’t understand why this optometrist got so defensive and sullen after my request since it’s always so easy to get records from other doctors. In the end he didn’t give them to me even though that’s illegal. My appointment had two parts because I needed dilation drops. The second part of the exam after I’d requested my records was so awkward and uncomfortable because his demeanor totally changed and he got really quiet and tense whereas he was talking normally just 20 minutes or so before. I’m honestly baffled why it was such a big deal. He’s also vague when I ask questions that are answerable if he looks at my past records. Like I asked him if my cornea had changed since my last visit because my vision seemed worse and he didn’t really answer me. I didn’t feel comfortable asking questions after that even if I wanted to. The overall effect of this experience is I ended up skipping my next two eye exams (yes this was almost 3 years ago) because I didn’t want to deal with him again and the sudden, unwarranted personality change creeped me out. Even my partner commented it was odd and he’s happy go lucky and never notices these types of things. The two stars are for him being a decent optometrist before this interaction and because the older woman who works here is very nice.

I just had an eye exam with Dr. Nguyen as a first time patient. He is very friendly and professional. I am definitely coming back every year for my eye exams! Thank you so much!

My first time coming to this optometry and I loved it Dr.Adrian is so nice and welcoming.He makes you feel comfortable and answers all your questions the girls are so nice too they took me in with out appointment because my contacts were warn out and my prescription was expired. I am bringing my family here now I recommend this place to everyone.

I had such a great experience at Eye Smart I had to share. I called on a Sunday and they scheduled me in right away. I had a question about pricing that the front desk staff was unsure of and before I knew it the doctor was on the phone to answer my question! It meant a lot that the doctor took his time to talk to me (a new client) on the phone. Once I arrived at their brand new, clean and updated office, I walked in and every staff member there knew my name and said hi. The doctor came right out to introduce himself and shake my hand. Exceptional customer service all the way around. I was originally going to schedule my appointment at Costco because in the past they have always had the most reasonable prices. I was wrong, I had an exam for contacts, a free contact starter kit, and a trial set of contacts $20+ cheaper than what I would of paid at Costco. It also included any further recheck visits needed to make sure everything was going well with my new contact lenses.
