My favorite comic shop in southern California and the go-to guy to talk about all things comics! Fresh comics on Wednesdays and loads of back issues to go through as well as a selection of trades and hardcover graphic novels! I've been frequenting Coffee and a Comic since June of 2023 and it's been such a cool place to visit on days like Free Comic Book Day (FCBD) or Batman Day or in-store signings. Super easy to set up a pull list at the shop and you can pick up in-store or easily have it shipped out. A common misconception that I've seen personally is fresh new customers walk in and they expect fresh coffee as if the shop itself is a coffee cafe, but although the blissful aroma may fool you, coffee is not typically served in the shop...instead each purchase is completed by adding a fresh pack of grounded coffee, all different types of roasts! And stickers, don't forget the stickers!
Friendly staff and a surprising amount of back issues make this a worthy stop. The store definitely focuses on more recent books, but if that is your thing there is a stunning amount to dig through. Lots of variants too. It is a tad hard to find around the back from a parking lot, but once you are inside the atmosphere and staff are great. Worth stopping by for sure!
My son is getting into comics so we checked this place out. Cool little shop and the store owner was SO helpful, not intimidating at all, just really nice . My son told him a bit of what he was into and we were recommended amazing comics that my son is stoked on! We will be back to support !!! Highly recommend checking this place out. Comics and coffee… two really cool things!!!
Hidden gem located just off Beach Boulevard catering to comic book lovers with a dash of coffee thrown in for good measure. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Low key. Stop by and enjoy!
Best comic shop in town! Been coming here regularly to pick up my pull list of new comics, and Jeff and Nick have been awesome! Super knowledgeable and friendly. They have a great selection of back issues as well. Love that with every purchase you get some coffee grounds for a single cup of coffee and a piece of coffee candy. Perfection!
