Best Western Palm Garden Inn

As the name of the place mentions: best Western Palm Garden Inn, it does have a nice palm garden. It has the Pacific Island feeling. The rooms won’t win any beauty contests. I slept comfortably and quite peaceful. There is a microwave and a coffee maker in the rooms and there are also grocery stores nearby. Local attractions are not too far away as well. The staff were friendly, and the continental breakfast is typical. I’ll be back in Southern California in a few weeks and I will stay here again.

After checking in as normal, I went to the front desk again to ask a question about the WiFi, the front desk person at the time decided to upcharge me for an extra person fee for my stay, since my grandfather, who is a resident here decided to come and stop by to visit and leave within 10-15 mins, talked to the front desk that it is not right to upcharge me $60! for that visitation from a family member, he then referred me to the placard on the desk stating they were not providing room service, and below that highlighted was that they would charge an extra person fee of $15 per person per night, even though it was a short visitation, and not staying at the hotel. I booked a 2 queen bedroom that holds up to 4 people, and the booking was with 3 people. Bringing an extra 1 person would not affect the price on most hotels, besides with this Best Western. This all happen on June 10, 2026 Update: after talking to manager, she said they would handle it, but after looking at my statement after checking out on the June 16 the 60 dollar charge was posted and nothing was done about it. The people working at this best western need to identify the difference between who is staying overnight and people who are just visiting during the day. Unbelievable. Plus had to reprogram the room keycard 5 times during the stay!

Horrible night management. Combative, rude. Needs to lose his job. Wears a cap. Diann was great and should fire the other night manager. Breakfast gal was clueless, served burnt food over and over. She would bring out a small bunch of bacon at 5 mins before bk was over. Would not change coffee until I showed how mostly it was watery coffee. She should find a new role/job also. Room staff was great. Rooms are aged, showers leaked all over bathroom floor.

What a great stay ! Suraj (sam ) was extra extra nice over the phone when we called to make the reservation he made it so easy to check in and he price matched our stay that was amazing we really appreciate he got us in such a nice room it was spotless and 100 percent clean not 1 single issue everything was perfect we couldn't of asked for a better stay, in the morning the ladies made the best breakfast thats why we love the best western I usually go to the one in big bear but this one was delicious 😋 the ladies are all so nice and they kept the place clean the entire time it was great service anything we needed they helped us I'll definitely be back this week to stay again so if you're in the area ask for Sam he will treat you like family 10/10 service

This is my second trip to this location and I enjoyed my stay. Roshana welcomed me and provided me some water on a hot day.
