Advanced Auto Parts took over the parts section of Pep Boys across all chains. Here on Beach Blvd, it looks like they've got about half the stock of parts, supplies and accessories Pep Boys used to have at the same location. Some items like my favorite "The Glosser" wax wipes that I visited today for are now only sold on their website. Definitely feels like they've got even fewer items in-store than Autozone on Warner. That said, the majority of necessary parts from oil to wax to coolant to wipers to batteries are here, so without driving far and without needing a specific brand of something, likely they'll have something suitable in stock.

Horrible customer service here!! Not only did the guy with braces not know the inventory, he also played a whole scheme and lied to me for absolutely no reason!! Came in today (9/18/2023) and asked one of the guys with black hair and braces if they do price match. He said from where? I told him Walmart and showed him the price on my phone. Walmart had blue threadlocker for $5.66 vs advance auto had it for $9+. I told him its okay if you cant i’ll just go to walmart but id rather get them the money. The guy told me ohhh thats online they dont price match online prices. I told him “it says ready for pickup at walmart today. Thats not online only… “ he said it can be cheaper online for store pickup. I said “Well how do you price match store prices without us being in store? Do you call them?” He said yes. I said that would be great if you can call or would you like me to? He said he will. He proceeded to call them…. then as it starts ringing he walks away from me to the back so I cant hear him anymore and blabbers on some product code that doesnt even match the permatex blue threadlocker. Comes back to me so fast. (which proves that he never actually spoke to someone and got a price match) Anyways, he comes back to me and says sorry yep its a different price in-store at Walmart. At this point i knew the guy was scheming and lying so i just stopped trying to work with him. Here I am now instore at Walmart and the thread locker is indeed the price shown online. He lied about talking to someone from Walmart and lied about getting a different price. Check my uploaded picture for proof. Sick of scummy individuals. What the hell is wrong with management and the type of people they hire here? Get your act together here please!! I’ll be posting this review everywhere now. Its the only way scummy behavior will change is if you affect their business.

Clara was extremely accommodating and helpful. I needed a break wear sensor same day and nowhere except her store had it in a 150 mile radius. They had one left, but her and her team couldn’t find it so they took down my information and spent extra time looking for it. Thankfully they found it and saved the day for me. Despite being short handed and busy, they made sure to put in the extra effort to help me when they could’ve made it easier on themselves and said they couldn’t find it. Thank you Clara and team.
