1. The drinks are good! I like how thin the pizza was so it was easy to eat! The burger was nicely built! 2. The spot has fun casual vibes with high ceilings! 3. The staff was friendly and timely with our order! Note: There are restrooms available for customers! Dzo Brewing Company has excellent decor! If you come in during the daytime for drinks, the interior is filled with plenty of natural light which is great for appreciating the Vietnamese decor, or for reading a book or playing games with your friends. All the employees are super knowledgable about their drinks and super kind! I really appreciate how the brewery appeals to local tastes and calls back to Vietnamese foods and drinks. The ales were so popular that they were sold out the first time I visited! The Brussels sprouts were my favorite food on the menu!
My partner came across this place during the Garden Grove strawberry festival and wanted to go together, so we went together the next day and it was a really pleasant experience overall! The inside is pretty nice, high ceilings so it feels spacious. There were a lot of people but it never felt cramped. We sat at the bar the whole time we were there. They just opened earlier this year so the place is pretty new and well-kept. The decor on the walls is also beautiful. My partner wanted to try their beers, but they were mostly sold out from the busy weekend. We had mostly the soju cocktails which were all delicious! We started with the Hometown Ma-Cha-Cha (matcha and mango yogurt soju) which went surprisingly well together in flavors, as well as the Boys Over Flower (calamansi soju). Both were yummy and refreshing. You can choose between Jinro and fresh soju depending on how strong you want the drink. We got sweet potato waffle fries to munch on which were surprisingly tasty too lol the powdered sugar on top was a nice touch. We also got the When Life Gives You Strawberries soju cocktail, their strawberry festival special that they’re only doing through the end of May. It was probably the sweetest drink we got which means it was my favorite haha. It usually comes with whipped cream on top but I asked for it without since I’m lactose intolerant. Lastly, we got the bath bomb “secret menu” soju cocktail which was a lychee soju slushie drink. We ended up ordering this because my partner saw the ducks in a jar behind the bartenders and asked what they were for 😂 the pop rocks on top are a fun touch too! I loved all the drinks we got. What I enjoyed just as much as the drinks was the service! The bartenders were all very friendly and gave lots of good recommendations for their drinks depending on our tastes. We were there for at least a good 2 hours mostly just talking and enjoying our drinks. I unknowingly met the owner Henry who was very humble and friendly. We will definitely be back for the good vibes, more munchies, and to try the beers once they’re in stock again!
We stopped in Saturday night to check this place out. We tried some beer, cocktails and some food. It is a warm and inviting place. The staff is super friendly and helpful. and there is plenty of parking nearby. We got a flight of beer. They create Vietnamese coffee inspired flavor stouts. All the beers we tried were delicious and really brought those coffee flavors forward. We had the Saigon Stout which is a dry stout with notes of dark chocolate and espresso. The Vietnamese Coffee Stout is a milk stout with strong coffee flavors. The Peanut Butter Milk Stout is a sweet stout with notes of dark chocolate and peanut flavors. The Orange Coastal is a light orange ale with a lightly tart finish. All were delicious and totally worth getting again. The Seoul Smash Burger is a double smash burger with gochujang mayo and kim chi. Totally delicious and totally wish it was bigger. The loaded tots where massive and there was a lot of chorizo with it. We also tried some of the soju cocktails. The Autumn In My Heart is a butterscotch yogurt soju cocktail. It was delicious and thankfully not overly sweet. The Bath Bomb is a lychee slushee with soju served in a bathtub complete with a rubber duck. It was fun and delicious. A great place that I cannot wait to come back and try more food and drinks.
Place has a great atmosphere and the food tasted great (fish tacos and rib garlic noodles). Service at ordering could have been friendlier but it was somewhat busy. Also, they were out of some of their signature beers so I had to order the guest brews which were not bad but being a Saturday they should have a full stock. I’ll be back to try them.
