Jim Presti did a fine job taking care of some roof patching and repair. He showed up early and was very prepared. He fixed my roof and then added some Garage vents from the cool side of our garage; allowing our Whirlybird roof exhaust to have a cool place to pull air from. I had an emergency toilet leak and I searched around for a few different companies to come out and fix it. We bought the new toilet ourselves and the necessary parts to go with it (kinda). So all we needed was someone to came and install today. Most everyone else was either ridiculously expensive or couldn’t do same day or both. I happen to see Jim’s Mobile service and thought I’d give him a call. I sure am glad I did! He was able to come within 3 hrs on same day, he was very courteous, very knowledgeable, and very helpful in things we didn’t understand. Some of the parts we had gotten when we got toilet, were wrong. He actually went with my husband, not once, but twice, to the supply store, to get correct parts, because the Home Depot helper, didn’t know what he was doing. So Jim made sure that he got all the correct parts, so as to do a good installation. He was also the most reasonable handyman that I could find. Jim Presti under Mobile Authority services has been doing suspicious work doing a wood trim repair and paint. He never gave us a quote or invoice agreeing to pay the amount we could afford. He has already reached the limit we could afford before finishing the bottom trim. He expects us to pay additional $2k on top of what we told him the budget was. Absolutely not! He says deposit for $700 for gas alone for 3 people really? $1700 for 3 people labor when we physically see them for less than 4 hours and rate is $45/ hr. Super suspicious!
