One of our new favorite boba shops! We came here when they first opened years ago and they’ve definitely improved. The menu is a lot wider and their boba is tasty. The drinks are great and they’re very generous with the toppings. * Lychee Fruit Tea: 10/10 - super fruity and comes with orange slices and lychee jelly Although there was very little interaction, the workers were really nice. When they forgot to add boba to my drink, the worker was apologetic and had no problem adding it. They have multiple ordering kiosks to order from or you can order at the counter. The interior seems relatively small, but they actually have a lot of tables and chairs to sit at. They also have some really cute claw machines inside as well. We’ll be coming here a lot more often!
When this first opened, it was among our top spot to return. However, since last year, either my tastes became more complex and discerning or the drinks dropped a level or two. The Passion fruit drink was no longer like passion fruit before but more like flavored tea with hint of passion fruit, 3*. Jasmine green milk tea w/boba, 25/30% sugar, was too milky for me...3.5*. Tea was there but somewhat lacking. Guess I'll be moving on now...
Presotea is located just underneath the ever so popular Seafood Cove #2. I was incredibly stoked that we were also able to take our drinks inside the restaurant which was largely in part the reason why I went here in the first place. The drinks here are not terribly expensive because it’s located in garden grove but boy, are they super sugary! I ordered 3 drinks: the chamomile green tea (free with any drink purchase), Oreo latte, and Ceylon black milk tea with regular boba. The chamomile green tea left a lot to be desired. I think traditional tea drinkers would find this rather delicious but since I wasn’t a fan of iced green tea to begin with, I could have done without it. The Oreo latte was for my boyfriend and oh my lord was it incredibly sweet. He liked it though but found that the Oreo chunks were difficult to suck up due to him using a regular size straw. The Ceylon black milk tea was delicious and I believe I was able to modify the sweetness on this one. If not, don’t quote me because if it was modified then it was perfect at half sweet. The boba was also rather fresh and perfect chewy consistency. One thing I liked was that they also have a rewards program which I always appreciate from a boba shop. Overall, I liked my experience here and the boba was good. It didn’t really send me in the way that others make me crave their tea so I don’t believe I’ll be back anytime soon, but it was still a good first experience!
Super busy boba tea place with a lot of choices. They always have a special whether it is 2 for 1 or $2 tea. Order one and try some different toppings instead of the normal boba.
Probably one of my favorite places to get boba tea. I have tried it several times, and no matter what I get on the menu it always tastes good. My favorite so far is the brown sugar latte with boba, but it is fairly sweet to me even with 30% sugar, so I definitely recommend less sugar if you don't like super sweet things, however the flavor is great - and the color of it makes for cool instagram photos to make all your friends jealous. I always add the milk cap, but here they call it a "sea cream", it adds a nice salty flavor to finish off any drink. I have tried several other boba tea places in the little Saigon area but I keep coming back to this one. I also tried their vietnamese iced coffee with crystal bobas, it is good if you like strong coffee flavor, but some Americans might find it too strong. The fruit teas are also really good. Out of the fruit teas I like the signature fruit tea the best as it comes with passion fruit and pineapple mixed in it, very tropical and good on a hot day. The place is fairly small, so it is always best to get it to go. If you know what you want you can order it ahead of time and do curbside pickup. It is great to get some to go then head over to the shopping malls nearby in walking distance.
