I needed to pick a place last minute and considering this accommodation didn’t have horrible reviews like others, I decided to give it a try. It’s very pricey while you don’t have anything. Not even poor coffee and the rooms do not have toiletries. It doesn’t make sense. I traveled to many countries and this never happened to me. Also the staff is being loud in the morning. Also if people hang out in the pool and talk, the whole building can hear it. I would expect more from this place. At least the rooms were clean and they allow pets which is a plus.
We booked a room for 4 nights. We arrived 30 mins early. The employees were friendly & got our room ready really quick & on time (3pm). When we entered the room, we noticed how clean it was. The bed was made neatly. However, there was a very strong smell of urine. We weren't sure if it was the bed or bathroom, but instead of complaining, we just drove to Target & purchased some air fresheners & mattress covers. It did the trick. Then we discovered that the shower water wasn't hot. We called front desk. They were very helpful & fixed the issue quickly the following day. We didn't request towels to be changed or trash to be emptied, but we were surprised that it was replaced & cleaned 2 days in a row. We couldn't make out the name on the card, but thank you to that employee. I think her name started with a C. She did an amazing job. Overall, it was a great stay. Thank you! Edit: If you pay for a room, whether it is a hotel or motel, just know that you should not have to be cleaning it. It should be already clean & should NOT smell like urine. I realized that some may say my rating is ridiculous, but I guess I'm not a confrontational person. Motels already have bad raps, so I wasn't expecting 5 star quality. Besides the urine smell, the room was clean. So my rating stands. However, in the future, I will not be paying extra out of pocket to make my room non-urine smelling.
The general manager Carolina was awful. She treated my fiance and I like scum. I've never felt so offended being as we were paying customers. When I had difficulty with the maid because of a language barrier, the general manager said I was having an attitude and I needed to apologize and the next time it happened, we'd be kicked out. I informed her that wasn't the case and I wasn't going to apologize as there was nothing to apologize for, and she said is that right. She then informed me I'd have to check out the next day. Then she said, better yet, you can check out now. Unacceptable for motel 6. I have always been treated quite well by motel 6. Being as though it is the guests who stay here that give her a paycheck, I expected more from her. And more importantly, she's got staff who look up to her and will mimick her behavior. This place is really gone in the gutter. My suggestion is you get a replacement general manager before she runs off all your customers. UPDATE- THIS AWFUL WOMAN TOOK BOTH DEPOSITS!! THEY LITERALLY WERE REFUNDING THE FURST ROOM DEPOSIT AND THEN RETRACTED IT! IF I COULD SHOW PICTURES ON THE BANK STATEMENT I WOULD. IF YOU WANT TO SEE IT I CAN EMAIL TO YOU. THEY INSPECTED THE FIRST ROOM LITERALLY SHEET BY SHEET 2 SEPARATE TIMES BEFORE RENTING THE SECOND ROOM TO ME. HOW IS IT THAT THE WOMAN TOOK IT BK! I WOULDNT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO RENT A SECOND ROOM IF I DIDN'T PASS THEIR INSPECTION WHICH BY THE WAY I HAVE NEVER HAD DONE BEFORE AT ANY OTHER MOTEL! I WANT MY DEPOSITS BACK! I LEFT THE ROOMS CLEAN THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THEM.
I had to rereview this place and I'll tell you why... I spent around 4k.dollars here after landing in a difficult circumstance. It's not the best and the entire time it was under construction however the house keepers are pretty rad and the maintenance guy. Some employees are cool but a few you simply can't tell...are they being rude? Are they upset? Are they constipated? I mean, you'll never know! I stayed because it was good for my pups to be honest After countless days in and out, thousands of dollars spent I checked out for the last time. Waiting for my deposit the housekeeper came across a dirty towel and instructed the front desk there was a destroyed towel. I was told by the front desk I'd receive only HALF of my deposit. That would be 25 dollars. Now then, being here as long as I had been and spending the money I had they were aware my circumstance were dire and at this point I was living in and out of my vehicle with my two dogs. I've never heard of a 25$ towel at a motel 6 but I guess they bougie. The kicker is...it was MY towel. That's right...they were trying to keep 25$ of my deposit for MY dirty towel. 😤 I explained this to the dead in the face customer service rep Carolina. The staff went inspecting every fiber on this towel. They concluded it was there's therefore they will charge me 25$. Well, it WAS there's...but it was mine. You see the week before I stepped in dog poo wearing sandals. It was between my toes and all over me. I was about to walk into my room when some staff I believe it was herlinda and Wendy and perhaps ray ...gave me dirty towels of theirs to wipe the poop off of my foot. Herlinda told me to throw them away. I took the 2nd towel given to me to clean my shoe in thr bathtub. I ended up washing it and keeping it for another rainy poop day. When I checked back into the hotel I brought it with me to give my dogs a sponge like wipe down. Now I'm at the front desk trying to reason with dead face when Wendy came and said we sre going to give you your full deposit but you can never come back. I asked why exactly that wad, was it over a towel they're accusing me of destroying? Did I do something I was unaware of? She ignored me. I asked for the information to contact the owner who drives that awesome tesla truck who I'm sure wouldn't be so fond of his staff telling people spending thousands of dollars who are quiet and NOT drug dealers they can't come back over a towel but she refused. Carolina said I could call the "reservation" number. I was calm. I was respectful and I asked they preserve the security footage for when I escalated this to their boss. Hopefully they did so. I asked again for clarity on yhe situation stating I'd need it when I filed a complaint. That's when Carolina came back from the back room stating she'd no longer give me ANY deposit if I was going to do that. I asked, is this extortion? Conversion? Do I need to contact the authorities? Carolina looked me dead in the face and said, call the cops. At this point I stated how ridiculous this was. Then Wendy alleged I checked out late and the reason for keeping my money just kept flip flopping. I also did not check out late...I lost my dogs leash in the room, put my pups and belongings in my vehicle and searched the room for the leash with staff. The front desk was aware of this and since I understand Spanish but can't speak it well I even heard this conversation on the walkie talkie . I am appalled at how the front desk acted and responded to this. Not all, primarily Wendy and Carolina. During my time there I've witnessed the police with shields attempting to get I to a room TWICE...I've been asked if I havr any crystal and fet on two separate occasions..I had a faucet leak for 2.5 weeks my first stay and took a shower when a cocoroach crawled out of the drain. During my stay I consistently picked OTHER dogs poop up and threw it away... cleaned the pool, picked up trash, and took good care of the housekeepers making and leaving them gifts.
Service was great, everyone was really nice, just had other issues. Key cards weren't working so I had to have a maid open my door, didn't want to leave after that cause I'd have to do the same thing. There were flies all over the room. The door handle on the bathroom was broken and so it wouldn't shut. I ended up checking out a few hours after I checked in.
