I have been going here for many years since the store was run by my friend Sam. They have always had the best prices and when I moved to Arizona they helped pack all the fish I had bought from them with oxygen! I returned recently and got a great flowerhorn for $20. Eric and May are two excellent employees there. Definitely a 5 star shop…go here first!

The guys here are really great and have cheap affordable fishes. Usually come here to get shrimps since they're 2 bucks a pop for neos if I'm correct. Bought my 6 pea puffers here and they've been healthy and swimming for about two months now. Would definitely recommend this shop for anyone getting into aquarium fish and want to save money before really going into it. Not as many plants as I'd like here but the amount of fish and the prices definitely have me coming back. Well the puffers are still thriving as usual and they are getting big. I'm really happy I got them from here and I come in monthly to get frozen bloodworms for these guys.

I love this store so much! They basically take good care of their fish. I just came there pretty recently for the first time and wanted to get their plants. As soon as I was looking around, there was this betta fish that caught my eye at the moment. I wanted to take him home with me, but couldn't. Until a day later, I decided to take that betta fish home with me and decided to name him Mango. The employees here are cool and interesting, to be honest. Eric is the OG in the business and is an entertaining guy. I also would like to thank him for giving me tips on how to take care of a betta fish. The old Chinese guy was so sweet and wholesome that I'm looking forward to seeing him again. The owner's daughter was chill and funny. It was pretty nice that they treat you like family once you get to know them. If you're planning to buy a fish, I would highly recommend this place. Update 2024: Mango is doing great, and I still come to the place to pick up food or visit them. Their advice on taking care of fish is amazing, and it still helps me to this day.

From personal experience, Veteran freshwater fish people will walk in & know off the bat that 405 has the great prices and hard to find fish all us monster fish keepers look for. Staff is rad and don't hesitate to help. I'm not a leave a review guy but this place is awesome. I live in San Diego and will commute every time here knowing I won't be disappointed!
